3D computer-designed braces
There is a revolutionary technique that sets Lach Orthodontic Specialists apart from other practices - and it’s called 3D computer-designed braces. These braces are more efficient, more accurate, and more comfortable than traditional treatment.
What are 3D computer-designed braces?
3D computer-designed braces are designed 100% custom for you using a cutting-edge Precision 3D digital scanner. This scanner helps us pinpoint the optimal positioning of braces and wires, and takes all the guesswork out of your treatment.
Computer-designed braces require fewer adjustments, and can greatly reduce your treatment time thanks to their extreme efficiency and accuracy.
How do computer-designed braces work?
With the advanced software at our office, we can create a virtual model of your teeth and jaw and apply digital braces to that model. This SureSmile simulation technology allows Dr. Lach to experiment with different placement options to optimize your treatment program.
Dr. Lach can run a simulation in mere seconds to see what your teeth will look like in different phases of treatment depending on the position of your braces and archwires. Then, he can make any necessary adjustments to the treatment plan to ensure it is as efficient as possible.
Once Dr. Lach has found the perfect treatment plan, he will send the model to a high-tech 3D printer. This will create a molded tray that will help him place your braces in precisely the same positions as the digital model - ensuring a perfect fit.
Benefits of 3D computer-designed braces
There are many benefits from designing braces with SureSmile technology. These include:
- More accurate treatment planning and results
- Better bracket and wire positioning
- Shorter treatment times
- Improved comfort
Are computer-designed braces safe?
Absolutely! The Precision 3D digital scanner we use to plan your treatment is radiation-free and completely safe. In fact, this machine is part of almost all orthodontic treatments we perform, including retainers, expanders, mouthguards, clear aligners, and nightguards.
Am I eligible for 3D computer-designed braces?
As long as you are a candidate for braces, you can have them designed using our advanced precision technology. Dr. Lach will determine if braces are the best fit for you at your free initial consultation with us.
